With the Apple Watch not due to hit stores until early next year and you really want a smartwatch for Christmas. There are plenty of Smartwatches out there to choose from and here are some of the best that we have found.
The Samsung Gear 2 runs on Samsung’s own proprietary Tizen operating system. It has the ability to make and receive calls from your wrist. You will need a Samsung phone to make the watch work properly, but it will be worth it in the end. For example, if you receive a notification on your watch and pick up your phone, your phone will know to display the notification in full on the larger screen.
The LG G Watch R is the follow up to the first smartwatch announced. The difference with this one is that it boasts 1.5” circular display and has a classic style, but also the latest wearable technology.
The Samsung Gear S also runs Tizen, and take a SIM card so it can do almost everything you need on a phone but on your wrist. The Gear S has a curved 2” screen, 1ghz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB of storage and loads of connectivity options.
The Moto 360 is very similar to the G Watch R but it got there just before as being the first round screened Android Ware device available. It will display notifications based on where you are and what you’re doing so you always stay on time. It also responds to your voice, even if you have your hands full all you need to say is “Ok Google” and it will respond to you straight away.
The Sony Smartwatch 3 is Sony’s first attempt at an Android Wear device and is a replacement for the previous two Smartwatches that it had already released. The SW3 has a 1.6” touchscreen display that run in 320×320, and under the screen packs 1.2ghz processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB of storage, Bluetooth LE, GPS and even NFC.
All of these Smartwatches are available to buy now, but if you are thinking that you just want to hold off until the Apple Watch is released then I don’t blame you. But these are some great Smartwatches if you want to get one in time for Christmas.
